Salicylic Acid is an oil-soluble exfoliant that gently removes dead skin and dandruff from the scalp/hairline. Because Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, it also removes excess oil and wax from the scalp, therefore you don’t have to wash your hair before using this product.

HOW TO USE

For Exfoliation:
Part your hair in sections, then use the applicator syringe to apply a thin layer of this salicylic acid serum to your entire scalp. Lightly massage it in, do not rub or abrade your scalp, just allow the serum to fully absorb. If you plan on washing or styling your hair wait at least 1-2 hours after this salicylic acid serum has fully absorbed into your scalp.

For Exfoliation & Dandruff:
If you have active dandruff and, it’s best to use this salicylic acid serum on hair-washing day 2 hours before washing your hair. Part your hair in sections, then use the applicator syringe to apply a thin layer of this salicylic acid serum to your entire scalp. Lightly massage it in, do not rub or abrade your scalp, just allow the serum to fully absorb. After 2 hours rinse your hair/head with warm water. Apply your dandruff shampoo (preferably Selsun Blue/Nizoral/Sulfur-8 shampoo mixed with SeaBreze astringent) massage it into your scalp. Then use a shampoo brush to massage your scalp & large tooth comb to remove any loose dandruff/skin flakes from your scalp & hair. Let this shampoo mixture sit on your head with a plastic cap for 15 minutes, then rinse your hair with warm water. Then give your hair one last wash with a regular conditioning shampoo (like Pantene), then rinse your hair with cool water. Detangle (all hair types), then moisturize (Hair Types III-IV).

Frequency:
You only need to apply this salicylic acid serum 1-2 times weekly as a leave in.

NOTE:
If you plan to use the Sulfur 2% Serum, don’t mix the two products. And don’t apply on them on the same day, unless you have washed your hair after applying the salicylic acid serum. Too much exfoliants can cause irritation to your scalp.
