This rosemary hair oil will stop hairloss and prevent further hairloss when applied 1-2 times weekly. This is a potent herbal oil that will not only treat hairloss but will stop any itching due to irritated scalp, dandruff, or scalp fungus. NOTE: This Rosemary Hair Oil was formulated using essential oils (category 7B) at the proper usage rate set by IFRA standards for safe use.

FORMULATING ROSEMARY OIL

Different formulators & companies use different methods to formulate Rosemary hair oil. The best way to make any herbal hair oil is to add the dried herbs to skin or hair friendly oils (i.e. Avocado, Olive, Coconut, Sesame Seed, Castor, etc.) and let it steep for a week or more in a glass bottle, shaking it periodically. [The method is the same exact way you would make herbal extracts using grain alcohol or vegetable glycerin] Rosemary essential oil can be added to make the oil more potent & effective. This is how I formulate my Rosemary oil. The essential oils I’ve added are to treat itchy scalp, dandruff, and fungus. The base oils used (avocado, Jamaican black castor, olive) are known for stimulating hair growth, unlike cheap oils known to cause allergic reactions like soybean oil and mineral oil. Each bottle will contain visible rosemary leaves at the bottom, along with chunks of dried Aloe vera leaves & calendula flowers – which have been added for their soothing healing anti-inflammatory properties.

NOTE: Adding vitamin-E oil (or other essential oils), isn’t just for the skin/hair benefits, it keeps base oils from going rancid/expiring. You can add vitamin-E to your skin/body oils keep them from going rancid while sitting on a shelf unused.

TIP: The above method is used to make herb infused oils for culinary purposes also. To further increase your hair growth, you should include rosemary in your diet by adding it to salads & to season cooked food. And use rosemary infused oils (Olive & Avocado) to cook your vegetables, meats, and other hair growing foods. Rosemary has many other health benefits than just growing hair.

ABOUT ROSEMARY

Rosemary is a culinary and healing herb. This woody perennial is native to the Mediterranean region, where people have used it in food and traditional medicine for centuries. Rosemary’s health uses range from antioxidant benefits and anti-inflammation to memory enhancement.

Researchers found rosemary essential oil to be as effective at hair regrowth as minoxidil (a.k.a Rogaine®) when topically applied to the scalp. Rosemary essential oil can stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss, but applying undiluted (or not diluted enough) can cause terrible side effects. You can purchase rosemary essential oil to formulate your own hair & body oils. Essential oils are highly concentrated and distilled extracts of volatile plant compounds. Essential oils are never applied directly to skin, they are always added/diluted with other oils or added to finished products. If you have no experience working with essential oils please do your research first, essential oils can cause adverse effects if not used correctly. Use an essential Oil calculator and always go by the IFRA standard usage rate for safe use.

An older but often-cited study from 2015 Trusted Source suggests that rosemary essential oil directly helps protect against hair loss. One 2015 trial compared the essential oil and minoxidil (Rogaine). The researchers divided 100 human participants with androgenic alopecia (also known as male or female pattern baldness) into two groups. They used either rosemary essential oil or minoxidil. The results suggested that rosemary essential oil was as effective as minoxidil. During the process, it helped the side effect of an itchy scalp more successfully than minoxidil.

A 2023 study Trusted Source determined that applying a hair lotion containing 1% rosemary essential oil stimulated hair growth more than minoxidil. The researchers also found that the rosemary lotion also had benefits to hair:

HOW TO USE THIS OIL

Patch Test: Always do a patch test first to test for allergic reaction before using new products, even if they are completely herbal! Put one drop on your inner arm near your elbow and rub it in. Then place one drop at your scalp near your ear/side-burns area, rub it in. Monitor both areas for 48 hours. If there’s no redness or irritation you may proceed with using this product.

Application: It’s best to apply this oil after you’ve washed & conditioned your hair. Only needs to be applied to the scalp & doesn’t need to be combed thru your hair, a little goes a long way and this bottle should last you quite a while. Part your hair in six sections. Shake the bottle, wait for the herbs to settle, then use the applicator syringe to draw 5ml of oil into it. Drag ot trace the syringe applicator tip across your scalp (where you parted your hair at) as you press down on the plunger releasing the oil as you go. Do each section , then massage the oil into your scalp. depending on the size of you head, you really shouldn’t need more than 10ml to coat your scalp. After application you can put on a plastic cap for 30 minutes to help the oil penetrate, this will be especially soothing if your treating an itchy scalp. After 30 mins you can remove the plastic cap and proceed ith your usualy hair styling. If you have active dandruff, be sure to gently scratch up your scalp with a large comb before washing your hair. While the shampoo lather is in your hair use a shampoo brush & large comb to comb through your hair to remove all dandruff flake. Don’t use this Rosemary Oil on the same day you use the Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Serum.

Frequency: This oil is potent and only needs to be applied 1-2 times weekly after washing your hair. NOTE: Just because it’s herbal doesn’t mean it should be abused, If you decided to use more often than this (which is unnecessary), I advise you to please gradually increase usage after applying this oil for six weeks straight, at 1-2 times a week.
