CHEBE BUTTER
This Chebe butter is made from a mixture of hair loving butters and potent hair actives that moisturizes hair, stops hair strand breakage, and helps retain the length of your curly/kinky hair type. The main ingredient is Chebe extract that I produce myself using authentic Chebe powder imported from a reliable Chadian seller. This Chebe butter is smooth and silky with a light/mild scent, you don’t have to worry about the grittiness and loud odor you get when mixing plain Chebe powder with oils or other hair products.
VERY MOISTURIZING BUT NOT GREASY OILY OR TACKY
This Chebe butter is a highly moisturizing deep penetrating formula containing some potent ingredients that complement the Chebe because they strengthen hair strands and moisturize hair, reducing breakage and split ends. The Chebe butter is a heavier product for those with extra dry & thirsty hair who need a litte bit more moisturizing (curly hair types). Chebe butter contains Olive oil, and other butters, that are known to completely absorb into the hair strands causing hair to feel super soft and moisturized, which is why olive oil is the preferred oil used in hot oil treatments. Although this product contain oil and butters, it doesn’t leave behind a greasy oily residue because they absorb into the hair. Also, the addition of food grade magnesium stearate prevents this Chebe butter formula from being oily or stick/tacky.

• Provitamin-B5 (panthenol): Improves hair by acting as a powerful humectant and emollient to moisturize and strengthen strands from within, providing softness, shine, and a thicker appearance. It also soothes the scalp, helps retain moisture to prevent dryness and irritation, and can improve the hair’s elasticity, leading to reduced breakage and shedding. |Moisture and Hydration| Acts as a Humectant- Panthenol draws water from the air and deeper layers of the skin to attract and hold moisture in the hair, preventing dryness. Penetrates Hair Shaft: It can penetrate the hair’s outer layers to reach the core protein structure, providing deep hydration and moisture to the hair itself. |Strength and Thickness| Strengthens and Fortifies- By binding to the hair shaft, Panthenol makes hair thicker, smoother, and more resistant to damage. Improves Elasticity: It enhances the hair’s ability to stretch and bounce, reducing the likelihood of breakage. |Scalp Health| Soothes Irritation- The anti-inflammatory properties of pro-vitamin B5 help to calm and soothe a dry, itchy, or irritated scalp. Balances Scalp Microflora- It supports the health of the scalp’s microflora, contributing to a healthier environment for hair growth. |Aesthetic Benefits| Adds Shine- By forming a thin, protective film on the hair’s surface, it reflects light, giving hair a lustrous and shiny appearance. Detangles and Smoothes: It smooths the hair’s surface and acts as a conditioner, making hair softer, smoother, and easier to detangle. How it works When applied to hair, panthenol is readily absorbed into the hair’s core and converted into its active form, pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5). This process helps to repair and strengthen the hair from the inside out.
• Hydrolyzed Rice Protein: Hydrolyzed Rice Protein has been shown to significantly increase total hair volume by up to 32%. It also adds natural shine to the hair. By increasing the ability of the hair to bind moisture, it leads to increased flexibility and tensile strength. On the skin, the increased moisture retention creates a more hydrated and elastic surface. Hydrolyzed Rice Protein contains both cationic and anionic amino acids. |How Hydrolyzed Rice Protein creates greater volume| The large amounts of cationic amino acids it contains (15.43%) bind to hair. (Arginine – 8.89%; Histidine – 2.27%; Lysine – 4.27%). The strong levels of anionic amino acids it contains (28.66%) repel hair fibers for greater volume. (Aspartic Acid – 10.79% Glutamic Acid – 17.87%) Hydrolyzed rice protein offers several benefits for hair, including increased volume, improved strength, enhanced moisture retention, and added shine. It also helps to repair damaged hair, increase elasticity, and make hair more manageable. Increased Volume: Hydrolyzed rice protein can significantly increase hair volume, making it appear fuller and thicker. |Strengthens Hair| It strengthens the hair shaft, reducing breakage and improving overall hair strength. |Moisture Retention| The protein helps hair retain moisture, leading to softer, more manageable, and less frizzy hair. |Improved Elasticity| By enhancing hair elasticity, it helps prevent breakage and makes hair more resilient. |Repairs Damaged Hair| The amino acids in hydrolyzed rice protein can help repair damage by filling in gaps in the hair cuticle. |Adds Shine| It enhances the natural shine of the hair, making it look healthier and more vibrant. |Protective Layer| It forms a protective layer on the hair, shielding it from environmental stressors and heat damage. |Manageability| By strengthening, moisturizing, and adding shine, it can improve the overall manageability of hair. |Other Benefits| Improves hair volume and manageability; Helps fortify hair to prevent damage; Nourishes hair from root to tip; Gentle for all skin types.
• Silk Amino Acids: Offer numerous benefits for hair, primarily due to their moisturizing and strengthening properties. They help retain moisture, reduce frizz, and enhance shine, making hair softer and more manageable. Additionally, they can reconstruct damaged areas, reinforce hair strength, and protect against environmental damage. Silk Amino Acids are highly hygroscopic and have excellent moisture binding ability. Known to penetrate into the upper layers of the scalp, hair cuticle, and hair shaft. This draws moisture into these areas, improving scalp and hair hydration. Silk Amino Acids cause increased flexibility and manageability, and softer hair. More benefits include:|Moisturizing and Hydrating| Silk amino acids are known for their excellent moisture retention capabilities. They help hair maintain its natural hydration levels, preventing dryness and frizz. The amino acids in silk, such as serine and glycine, attract and retain water molecules, keeping hair hydrated and healthy. |Strengthening and Repairing| Silk amino acids can penetrate the hair shaft, strengthening it from within and repairing damage. They can reduce breakage and split ends by improving hair’s elasticity and structure. This leads to increased hair strength and resilience. |Smoothing and Shine| Silk amino acids can create a smooth, silky finish on the hair, making it feel softer and more manageable. They also enhance shine, making hair appear healthier and more vibrant. |Frizz Reduction| By retaining moisture and improving hair’s structure, silk amino acids can effectively reduce frizz. This results in smoother, more controlled hair. |Protective Barrier| Silk amino acids can form a protective layer around hair strands, shielding them from environmental damage, such as UV rays and pollution. This protective barrier helps to prevent further damage and maintain hair health.
• Bamboo Extract: Bamboo is rich in silica, incorporating bamboo into haircare will strengthen hair strands, especially hair strands that have been damaged by hot tools (i.e flat irons, curling iron, etc.) or the environment. Bamboo extract offers several benefits for hair due to its rich silica content and other beneficial properties. It can strengthen hair, improve shine and smoothness, promote hair growth, and soothe the scalp. Additionally, it can help with moisture retention and reduce dandruff.

WHAT IS CHEBE POWDER?
Chébé powder is the haircare secret of the African women of Chad. Chadian women are well known for having very long natural (Type III-IV) hair that goes beyond their waistlines. Starting from birth, Chadian women cover their hair in a homemade Chébé oil mixture that keeps their hair super moisturized and lubricated which is the reason for why their hair never breaks, resulting in ultimate ‘length retention’. The Chébé powder I use in my formulations is sourced directly from a trusted Chadian supplier. This Chébé powder is handcrafted using the traditional hand ground method, therefore color and smell may vary from batch to batch.
ABOUT CHEBE POWDER & HOW TO USE:
Most people, like Chadian women, purchase the Chébé powder and mix it with their favorite hair oils (or conditioners), allow it to steep overnight, then apply the oil extracted Chébé to their hair, twist or loosly braid the hair, cover with a bonnet, and leave that mixture in for a few days until the next hair wash. This works great for moisturizing & length retention. But the Chébé powder crumbs can be annoying, the oils can run down your neck and stain pillowcases & clothes. This is why wearing a daily head wrap is preferred.
The proper way to use any Chébé mixture (especially with loose powder in it) is to apply it to the length of the hair, not the scalp. Chébé powder mixtures aren’t meant for the scalp to stimulate hair growth. It is meant strictly for ‘Length retention‘ of dry and curly hair Types (Type III-IV). Fortunately, my Chébé Butter & Gel doesn’t contain any loose powder (after the extract is made, the Chébé powder is carefully filtered out), and both products are thick and non-oily/non-tacky. You will get the same results as when you use the traditional Chébé oil mixture without all the crumbs and oily residue.
Always perform a perform a patch test before using any herbal product for the first time, If irritations occurs please discontinue use of the product.
URBAN LEGEND
Most people think that Hair Types III-IV doesn’t grow, and if it is long, it’s only due to genetics. This is FALSE and ridiculously ignorant. ALL human hair grows (unless the individual has some sort of medical condition preventing growth) And Hair Types III-IV most definitely can grow long, having ZERO to do with genetics. Honestly, most women with Hair Types III-IV don’t practice proper haircare. Using chemical hair relaxers, applying constant heat to straighten, tight hairstyles/ponytails/braids, sewn-in hair extension/wigs, natural hair that isn’t kept moisturized. All of this results in dry brittle weak hair that breaks daily. Making the hair thinner, always looking the same length and never accruing inches. All this gives the appearance that Hair Types III-IV doesn’t grow.
Chadian women have confirmed, that it most definitely has nothing to do with genetics since they don’t apply their chébé powder mixture to their bangs which, in turn, stay short. However the parts of the hair which they do use the chébé powder mixture on, stays moisturized, never breaks and grows very long and strong.
